Job Summary

The VP of WiFi Product Management is responsible for creating a multi-year roadmap and driving the development of Charter’s Advanced WiFi hardware and software platform. Reporting to the GVP of WiFi and Connected Home, this leader will play a critical role in delivering the next evolution of Charter’s converged connectivity services delivered by WiFi. As a seasoned veteran in WiFi technology and software management and operations, this leadership role will be a key partner to the engineering and software development organizations and various other key stakeholders within Charter. Success in this role will enable Charter to innovate more quickly, deploying and managing cutting edge WiFi hardware and software features and functionality for millions of customers across multiple business segments including Residential, SMB, and MDU.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience.

Partner closely with external technology and platform teams (Software Engineering, IT, Billing, Supply Chain) to deliver and scale platform releases together.

Define product features and requirements for device connectivity and management products, setting usability and performance standards.

Lead the product and feature roadmap planning for core WiFi related activities across the Charter organization.

Define and drive the establishment of an WiFi development platform for internal innovation.

Oversee milestones, project timelines, and budget.

Develop and maintain a communications plan for stakeholders and process participants.

Develop and lead regular reviews with the senior executives and cross-functional peers.

Work with other internal business and product teams to build business models for new technology and product opportunities.

Co-develop reporting metrics, performance benchmarks and dashboards to motivate and hold the organization accountable to deliver a world-class customer experience.

Co-analyze performance metrics of device connectivity and management products to recommend product improvements.

Lead business development discussions with partners and vendors.

Build, motivate, inspire and develop a team of highly skilled professionals to deliver a measurably superior WiFi Platform and consumer experiences.

Enable a metrics-driven culture by setting measurable goals for teams, leaders and self.

Required Qualifications

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Deep understanding of all past, present, and future WiFi technology protocols including WiFi 6e, WiFi 7 and WiFi 8, including hardware and cloud-based software development of WiFi services and industry protocols

Ability to solve critical problems and anticipate short and long-term business demands

Ability to focus on key priorities

Proven experience in embedded opensource and cloud-based software development and management

Extensive experience in API-based platform development and management

Experience in the creation and management of internal or external developers programs

Experience operating, deploying and enhancing technical ecosystems

Ability to directly and indirectly lead a multidisciplinary organization of product, design, software development, data intelligence and operational professionals

Ability to create an inspiring team environment with a culture of transparency and openness

Experience communicating strategic recommendations in data-backed, visually appealing presentations

Proven record of accomplishment in successfully driving growth, performance and profitability

Strong sense of urgency and bias for action

B.S Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, technology or equivalent.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $174,300.00 to $290,300.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
