About the job

About MyPlace Health
myPlace Health was founded in 2021 by mission-driven healthcare leaders and organizations that are committed to drastically improving health outcomes, quality and experience for vulnerable older adults and frail seniors. We are an integrated care delivery organization that specializes in providing personalized care and coverage to older adults who wish to remain safely living in their homes and communities for as long as possible, rather than living in a nursing facility. Our mission is simple: to enable seniors to live the independent lives they deserve. The primary ways in which we pursue our mission are through capitated arrangements with government payers, such as Medicare and Medicaid under the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model, and as a value-based provider working in partnership with local health plans. We are building a mission-driven team that shares our passion for redefining the way older adults experience care as they “age in place” in the community. This is a unique opportunity to take on one of our country’s most challenging healthcare problems and it is a unique moment in time to join us as we scale up to spread our mission across markets.
About This Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial healthcare leader to join our movement to redefine the way older adults experience care as they age. Reporting to the CEO, this leader brings expertise in health care delivery system redesign as our accountable executive who boldly leads our organization into new markets and to forge new strategic relationships. While elements of the role are highly strategic and require a first-principles thinker, the role is also balanced by a pragmatic grasp of our operating principles and the core capabilities that drive our care model. With responsibility for leading corporate and market development functions, this leader is a natural relationship builder that serves as one of the most important external faces of the organization. This is also an opportunity to serve alongside our clinical leadership team to inform how our care model blueprint is designed and spread across markets. Importantly, this role is a critical culture carrier that models the ways in which we scale our mission across the US.

  • Coach and serve as a mentor to senior and junior colleagues so that they can become stewards of our mission and care model

Attributes of an Ideal Candidate

  • Passion and mission orientation for serving high-risk seniors and frail older adults
  • Thrives in a relatively undefined, “zero to one” environment and unafraid to “roll up your sleeves” in a wide-ranging set of topics, projects, and deliverables

  • Experience successfully building, launching, and/or turning around companies or business units that are national or large regional in scope
