The IFI Cloud Service includes a wide array of components including web services, application servers, and databases. As a Senior Engineer, you will focus on DevOps tasks to deploy new IFI services, operationalizing them as well and ensure the day-to-day stability of the product in the public cloud. Although organizationally reporting to the IFI Cloud Services Operations team, this position will interact with multiple matrixed organizations of the business to drive and support the IFI cloud product. This role focuses on expanding our current model which is hosted in Entrust’s private cloud and regionally expanding the IFI product into the Azure public cloud across different regions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support a hybrid cloud environment in Microsoft Azure and on-prem
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code, for use at scale within an Enterprise Environment, to support automated consistency to the patterns using Terraform, Ansible, Git
  • Manage continuous integration and deployment in cloud environments
  • Create automation tasks using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Utilize Datadog and Splunk for system and application investigation and deploy monitoring enhancements
  • Proficient with Windows Server and Linux, currently running CentOS
  • Implement system enhancements (software) and automation opportunities to improve performance and reliability of the IFI solution
  • Contribute, leading when assigned, the design and deployment of FII service initiatives
  • Contribute to service operations center focusing on proactively analyzing data within toolset to ensure uptime and quality of service
  • Troubleshoot localized and system-wide errors/problems in a precise and timely manner
  • Manage activities with complete integrity and in accordance with the organization’s policies, systems, practices, and programs
  • Provide escalation assistance as required to resolve any technology stack related issues that may arise
  • Perform incident analysis and problem resolution
  • Perform data analysis to measure quality of service and proper scalability of the system
  • Collaborating with network architects to design and implement operational enhancements
  • Coaching and mentoring junior engineering staff
  • Contribute to the operations support model to support requests and participate in a 24×7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance windows as assigned
  • Other duties and project as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • College or University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and/or equivalent education and work experience
  • 5 years of High Availability, High Security, Internet Data Center Experience, and the requisite rigor needed to operate in that environment
  • 1 year of Azure experience; deep understanding of Azure services and their interconnectivity
  • Experience in with automation and deployment frameworks to deploy application services
  • Documentation skills and experience
  • Design and deployment experience with most of the following technologies: F5, Palo Alto, Windows Server (2016 and above), VMWare
  • Ability to communicate with leadership effectively as well as educate on emerging technologies
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure Certification
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Docker Containerization
  • Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity working in a highly regulated environment just as PCI-DSS or PCI–CP
  • Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL
  • Project coordination and management experience

Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $110000 – 166000 if located in the United States. In the event this position is hired outside the U.S., pay ranges will vary and will be set in the applicable currency. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. Please speak with the recruiter for more details.
