SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

This is a full-time salaried position, in-office (not remote) and reports to the Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the monthly and yearly closing process in accordance with GAAP
Analyze and maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
Fixed asset depreciation, prepaids and other amortizations
Reconcile multiple bank accounts.
Assist Controller with multi-state payroll tax filings.
Backup A/R and A/P as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in accounting
3+ years of experience working in a similar role.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains
Experience with processing intercompany transactions
Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to research accounting data and problem solve as needed.
Capable of working both independently and with others to discuss and resolve accounting issues.
Pass an initial drug test and subsequent random drug tests.
NOT REQUIRED BUT NICE TO HAVE
Experience working in transportation

COMPENSATION
$68,000-$78,000 based on education and experience.
