Are you a seasoned leader passionate about people, strategy and the intersection of sports and business? Our Fortune 500 Sporting Goods client is searching for a Regional Vice President (RVP) to lead a dedicated team of teammates (employees) and drive business growth as we continue our journey to be the world’s best sports company. As one of the key leaders you will have the opportunity to inspire and impact the lives of our teammates and athletes (customers) over a 100+ store market but also to shape the future of our company. Currently, we have opportunities in both our West and Mid-Atlantic regions.As a people-first leader-coach, you are responsible for and will lead by example in actively creating a culture of accountability, belonging and a growth mindset. You will surround yourself with top talent, build diverse teams and strong succession pipelines and hold them accountable for achieving strategic business goals. You will also prioritize coaching, recognition, personal well-being, and active listening and empower your team to conduct regular root cause analysis and make process connections to mitigate obstacles.As an owner and strategic partner, you will serve as the business owner and leader of a $1B+ business. You will think proactively and strategically about how to continue to responsibly grow our business while not being afraid to take risks on new and innovative ideas. We’ll also ask you to consistently deliver an athlete-centric experience for our athletes while also driving sound operational expertise.As a regional expert, you know your region’s athlete needs and wants and when needed adjust tactics accordingly. You will understand each market within your region by leveraging local insights to drive market and regional specific strategies. In addition to being focused on DSG’s efforts, you will also be asked to regularly assess the competitive landscape and provide regional and local input on opportunities where the region and organization can win and stay ahead. You will also empower your team to actively get involved and create opportunities to serve their community, building new relationships and creating even stronger athlete connections.Qualifications

  • An experienced market-leader for either our West or Mid-Atlantic region.
  • 10+ years of human-centric leadership experience
  • Prior experience of leading a ~$1B+ P&L
  • Prior leadership experience in a customer-centric business i.e. retail, hospitality, CPG, etc.
  • Successful record of leading a growth-minded multi-unit organization with responsibility for both sales and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an exceptional leader with a strong record of team management, coaching, succession planning, and culture building.
  • Have a strong customer-service orientation and possess collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Possess motivational management and leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to inspire enthusiasm, enhance productivity and individual growth, ensure effectiveness and foster loyalty.
  • Have unquestionable integrity, outstanding professionalism, and the ability to handle critical issues.
  • Able to think conceptually and strategically while maintaining a results-driven approach.
  • A passion for sport(s) and an inherent understanding of how sport can make a difference in the communities in which we serve
