Job Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and oversight of our client’s Operations areas, IT, and Compliance functions. Reporting to the CEO and working as a key member of the management team, the COO will take a leadership role in building, implementing, and overseeing the processes, workflows, and procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the overall quality and efficiency of operations, ensuring that the company delivers outstanding service that is always client-focused and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the company’s IT, Cybersecurity, Product Development, Product Management, Compliance, Facilities, and Vendor Management functions.
- Manage the company’s IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) relationship.
- Implement and oversee Vendor Management program, strengthening key relationships with partners/vendors.
- Be accountable for the aggregate plan and delivery of systems, operations, properties, and maintenance.
- Ensure strategic objectives shaped at Executive Management level are translated into tactical business plans, both financial and operational, with key measurements in place to monitor progress.
- Perform ongoing analysis of effectiveness of processes and systems used within the operations and recommend corrective action or automation.
- Ensure that operational risk is effectively addressed in all aspects operational areas.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and Executive Management to ensure the focus is aligned with business goals.
- Participate in strategic expansion activities (acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.)
Requirements
- Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or relevant role, preferably in a multi-location with an international footprint
- Strong working knowledge of IT/Network Infrastructure/Cyber Security areas
- Competency in strategic planning and tactical deployment across primary business functions
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving with the ability to design efficient systems that yield and measure productivity improvements
- BS/BA in Information Technology or relevant field, MBA is a plus
- Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
- Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
