The Dynamic Campus Chief Information Officer (CIO) will provide guidance and support to an assigned client institution. The CIO will live in close proximity of the institution and provide leadership and management of the site IT staff to support the effective and innovative use of information and communication technology resources in support of teaching, learning, and business operations. The CIO will join a team of elite Higher Education CIO’s, each responsible for the effective management and thought leadership for their assigned client institution.
The CIO partners with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure the continuous delivery of effective IT services through monitoring IT system performance to ensure the continuous functioning of mission critical operations. The CIO is an advocate for the client institution and develops deep and wide relationships with their leaders.
The CIO represents Dynamic Campus with the client Contract Administrator and provides oversight of the onsite management and technical team that supports the contractual services provided to the client. The CIO reports to the assigned Dynamic Campus General Manger with oversight by the Senior Vice President of Operations and the Senior Vice President of Transition Services.

Responsibilities:
- Promote, follow, and adhere to the Dynamic Campus best practices, expectations, and core values
- Develop and maintain a strong, positive relationship with the client Contract Administrator and foster open communications with the assigned General Manager
- Establish collaborative working relationship with institutional constituents
- Communicate regularly with institution leadership on significant site issues and successes, risks, opportunities, and general progress towards contractual and business goals
- Provide executive-level guidance and thought leadership
- Develop and recommend information technology policies to ensure the appropriate acquisition, use and cost-effective application of technology
- Serve as a technology advocate by promoting the use, support and realization of innovative technologies at the institution
- Work with the Dynamic Campus CISO to implement best-practice policies to ensure the appropriate security of information technology resources
- Respond to audit recommendations and findings and implement corrective actions as required
- Identify and achieve efficiencies through technological and workflow improvements
- Identify potential areas for cost savings
- Recognize, create and track value-add and ROI activities
- Lead by example and mentor the IT Staff
- Follow the Annual Work Portfolio policy and procedures
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in IT, CIS, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of Higher Education experience as a CIO.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to established policies, procedures, and practices
- Solid understanding of budgeting and business operations
- Experience in negotiating vendor relationships and contracts
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a highly demanding environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time, sometimes multiple times in a day (i.e., replacing/maintaining computers, monitors etc.)
- Must be able to crawl under desks and tight spaces as needed for troubleshooting equipment, cabling, and projectors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten years of experience in IT with five years as a CIO
- Higher education administration experience
- Experience with higher education administrative system software, specifically Ellucian’s Colleague
- Project management knowledge and experience
