- Who are we:
The mission of Deer Oaks is to provide clinically effective psychological and psychiatric
services to residents of long-term care and assisted living facilities, serving as an integral part of the multidisciplinary care team in order to improve the patients’ overall health, well-being, and clinical outcomes.
- The Team:
We are a team of 500+ clinical and administrative team members who focus on providing high quality services to patients and partnering with facility staff to drive the highest
level of outcomes. Deer Oaks clinical staff have served long term care facilities in Texas since 1992 and Deer Oaks has executed its growth strategy, expanding geographically both organically and through acquisition since then. Our clinical team consists of psychiatrists, advanced practice nurse
practitioners, physician assistants, licensed psychologists and licensed clinical social workers who deliver on-site, in-person services at more than 1500 contracted customer facilities across 29 states. Several members of our clinical team serve on national boards and associations, providing leadership and sharing our clinical excellence with our professional colleagues. Our
reputation as the premier partner for our customer facilities across the US is because of our strong service delivery, access to care, and relentless focus on compliance.
- Ownership and Executive Team:
Deer Oaks is 100% owned by its current CEO and Founder, Paul Boskind, PhD. Since 2016
the current President has performed the typical responsibilities of a CEO and Dr. Boskind has functioned as the Executive Chairman. The Deer Oaks executive team is comprised of seven individuals: The President, the Chief Operations Officer, three psychologists who form the Chief Clinical Office, the Chief Growth Officer, and the Chief Business Development Officer. The average tenure of the members of the executive team is 10+ years. The President, who also
services as the Chief Financial Officer, is retiring after 22 years with Deer Oaks. The company will provide an orderly transition from the President to the new CEO and Dr. Boskind will continue in the role of Executive Chairman.
- The Position:
The CEO is ultimately accountable for improving enterprise value by developing and implementing strategies that drive growth and profitability. The CEO consistently scales the organization to profitably maintain market leadership while providing outstanding quality and customer
service. The CEO reports to the Executive Chairman and collaborates with Deer Oaks’
seasoned executive management team to set and achieve strategic goals while ensuring the Company’s long-standing focus on clinical leadership and excellence. Primary roles and responsibilities for this position are outlined below. This position directly supervises ten (subject to change based on organizational growth) in an organization with 500+ employees.
- Organizational Leadership, Development, and Culture:
Provide executive leadership that reflects the organization’s values and vision; promote equity,
diversity, and inclusion; create a positive and collective culture where all voices are valued and respected. Foster a culture of accountability, follow through and ongoing staff education and development.
- Strategic Planning:
Work in close partnership with the Executive Management Team to refine and execute the
company’s strategic plan. Communicate the organization’s mission, vision, values to all stakeholders. Provide timely analysis, updates and accurate information to Executive Chairman.
- Financial Health and Wellbeing:
Develop and implement a strategy to deliver long-term financial health and success for the
organization; oversee fiscal management; oversee the annual financial planning process with CGO (Chief Growth Officer), COO (Chief Operations Officer), and Controller.
- Program Development:
Work with stakeholders and community partners to identify opportunities to advance the mission of Deer Oaks; partner with Chief leadership team to establish strategy for developing
and implementing innovative programs, expanding to new service locations and the development of new service lines in order to drive growth.
- Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to include managed care
organizations, long term care communities, national associations, and boards.
